A Brand New Use for a Put Bet in Craps

A "Put" wager is a bet that is made right on the pass line after the craps shooter tosses the dice. Like if there are no wagers and the craps shooter tosses a six, it can be the player's chosen number. The player can then place a wager down on the pass line and utilize the odds. People do not make this kind of wager because the craps shooter cannot earn or get anything from it.

A player will miss out on both the come-out 7 and 11, where the craps player on the pass line has a significant advantage in a casino which has double odds. But in casino establishments which have 5 times or even 10 times odds, this kind of wager will not work out. The higher odds that are being featured more than compensate for the 7 and 11 advantage.

But what if the casino is a type which doubles the odds? The player can still make a wager on the come out but it is still better to put a wager on the pass line and just avail of the come out on the 7 and eleven. Some of the new uses for the put bet is by making a second wager on the pass line instead of putting it beside pass line wager.

Then the player must tell the dealer that he will be adding to his wager on the pass line. Then pick the biggest odds, which is just perfectly normal in most casinos but just make sure you are familiar on what you are doing so that they will give you the correct amount of money.

As an avid craps shooter, the player should know by now that the odds put into the 6 or an 8 point are in a 6:5 ration so if a player has a $5 dollars wager with $10 dollars double the odds, the player will get $5 dollars plus $12 dollars for the odds part or a total amount of $17 dollars. If the player adds $5 dollars on their flat wager, then there's a total of $10 dollars.

A lot of casinos will allow their players to get $25 dollars on the odds instead of $20 dollars. So if a player achieves six hits, they will then win $10 dollars for the flat wager plus $30 dollars for the odds-which is a total of $40 dollars.

The player will also have a significant advantage for the come out in the 7 and 11 and small flat wager just in case it is not a 6 or 8. Players should just start with a $5 dollar pass line wager and if the point is a 6 or an 8, the player should put a wager for $5 dollars and add to their $5 dollars flat wager. Then just add $25 dollars in the gaming odds aside from their $10 dollars wager.

While this may sound confusing, after a while betting like this will come as second nature and you will see why craps affords a gambler great odds and one can really make some money shooting the dice.
